CAPC PAYMENT ACCELERATOR: 

Supporting Palliative Care Programs in Value-Based Payment and Contracting

The CAPC Accelerator will incorporate learning from health plan administrators, financial experts, lawyers, and successful community-based palliative care programs through interactive educational sessions, practical tools, and post-workshop mentoring in order to help participants:

  • explore partnership opportunities
  • modify operations for population management
  • price effectively
  • negotiate agreements that may or may not include risk-taking 

What can participants expect?

The CAPC Accelerator begins with an immersive face-to-face workshop (held immediately prior to the CAPC National Seminar in Phoenix in early November), and continues with access to experts as well as additional resources that will support participants over the following twelve months. The 2017-18 class of organizations accepted into the program can participate at no cost, on the condition that they share their ongoing payment and contracting experiences with CAPC. Learn more here.

The following must apply in order for applicants to be considered for the CAPC Accelerator:

  • Palliative care programs applying for the CAPC Accelerator must be able to attend the in-person workshop that will be held on November 7th-8th, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona
  • In order to maximize the benefits of participation, workshop attendees should be all individuals with program leadership roles in the following: patient care, finance, administration, and contracting for their palliative care program (There may be one individual performing multiple roles)
  • Please note that all educational materials, mentoring and support will be provided at no cost to participants. Participants will have to pay for travel and accommodations during the 2-day workshop
